The area of operation for Property Management and Projects within the culture, leisure, and technology administration is responsible for renting out, managing, and operating the municipality's buildings and facilities, such as schools, preschools, sports halls, and care facilities. We are also responsible for project management of new and renovation projects of municipal buildings. In total, we manage approximately 250,000 m2 of premises.

The department consists of 14 employees in the areas of premises, property management, and construction project management. You will work closely with other colleagues in the department, but the role also includes collaboration with other municipal colleagues and authorities.

We now need to strengthen our team with a property controller.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of property controller in the Property and Project department, you are an important cog in the local supply for Falkenberg's municipal operations. You will be a support function within both premises, property management, and project management. Thus, you contribute to ensuring space efficiency within the framework of the culture, leisure, and technology administration's mission.

Falkenberg municipality applies an internal rental system, and you are responsible for internal rental calculations and internal rental contracts, as well as in some cases establishing local rental contracts with external parties. You will follow up and ensure correct handling of rental administration in our lease management system.

Your role also includes being a support function within property management by systematizing and following up documentation such as authority inspections, drawings, energy statistics, as well as analyses of property costs, property results, and rental calculations. Thus, you contribute to ensuring that Falkenberg's municipal buildings are managed efficiently and profitably.

Part of your job will involve working within our project organization as support to the construction project managers with follow-up and documentation within the construction projects.

The role also includes assisting the finance department with tasks related to property accounting and materials for annual accounts, climate accounts, and property declarations.

You will participate in planning and developing routines regarding project and property economic follow-up planning in the department. You will also conduct smaller investigation assignments within the department's area of responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying have a relevant university degree in economics, real estate, or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent. If you also have documented knowledge of rental law, it is an advantage.

We prefer that you have previous experience in a role as a property economist, financial manager, or similar role within finance/real estate/construction, or you may be early in your career and want the opportunity to grow and develop with us in one of our three areas: premises, properties, and projects.

For the position, it is required that you are meticulous, responsible, self-driven, and have good collaboration skills. Knowledge of local rental agreements and understanding of the real estate industry is important for the role. We also prefer that you have previous experience working with financial systems and property systems and that you are proficient in Microsoft 365.

It is also required that you have the ability to keep many different tasks running in parallel since you will be a function within the entire department's area of operations.

You express yourself clearly in Swedish in both speech and writing.

The employer places great emphasis on personal suitability.

A valid driver's license (B) is required.
